Dog Days Palm Beach 2026 is where wagging tails, second chances and Palm Beach County neighbors come together for one joyful day. Pet Wants Palm Beach is proud to serve as a lead community sponsor of the free Hearts & Paws Fall Festival on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Start with an AKC community dog walk from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Then enjoy the main festival from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come meet adoptable pets, cheer on happy dogs and discover useful resources for the whole family.

The adoption area gives local rescue organizations—and the animals in their care—a brighter stage. Meet adoptable dogs, hear their stories and learn what each one needs from a future home.

If one of those faces catches your heart, take your time. Ask about temperament, health, training and comfort with children or other animals. The goal is a lasting match that feels right for everyone.

Not ready to adopt? You can still help through fostering, volunteering, donating supplies or sharing a rescue’s story. Every responsible connection counts.

Why Pet Wants Palm Beach Is Supporting Dog Days

Pet Wants Palm Beach believes better pet care starts with useful conversations. Families should feel comfortable asking questions, reading labels and making choices that fit their pets.

At the festival, the Pet Wants team will focus on ingredient awareness, responsible sampling and everyday wellness education. Ask how to read a food label, introduce a new food gradually or choose treats with purpose.

Samples are fun, but dogs with allergies or sensitive diets should not try several unfamiliar products at once. Also, review the ingredients and offer an appropriate amount at home.

Pet Wants’ fresh, small-batch approach emphasizes ingredient transparency and quality. On event day, however, the focus is helpful guidance—not a sales pitch.

Bringing Your Dog? Prepare for a Better Day

Dog-friendly does not mean every dog enjoys a busy festival. Therefore, consider your dog’s age, health, mobility and comfort around crowds before attending together.

If your dog joins you:

Use a secure collar or harness with a fixed-length leash.
Confirm that identification information is current.
Bring water, a familiar bowl, waste bags and trusted treats.
Give unfamiliar dogs and rescue animals plenty of space.
Visit the Cooling Zone or leave early if your dog needs a break.

Heavy panting, shaking, avoidance or an inability to settle can signal stress. Missing an activity is better than pushing a dog too far. Dogs that dislike heat, noise or unfamiliar animals may have a happier day at home.

Celebrate Palm Beach County’s Community Heroes

Hearts & Paws will also celebrate local first responders and public-service professionals. Families can meet expected participants from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, the Sheriff’s Office, Parks & Recreation, Animal Care and Control and the Office of Community Revitalization.
